Pokémon: 4Ever is the fourth official Pokémon film, released in Japan on July 7, 2001, and in the U.S. on October 11, 2002. The story unfolds in two-time frames. In the past, a young Pokémon Trainer named Sammy (later revealed to be a young Professor Oak) is warned by an elderly woman, Towa, about the “Voice of the Forest” — a legendary Mythical Pokémon, Celebi, capable of time travel. A ruthless Pokémon hunter pursues Celebi, injuring it. Sammy intervenes, and Celebi uses its powers to leap forward in time, taking Sammy with it.
