Season 4 of Miami Vice ran from September 25, 1987, to May 6, 1988, spanning 22 episodes, and featured a mix of gritty crime stories, lighter comedic moments, and a new romantic storyline with Caitlin Davies. The season premiered with “Contempt of Court”, where a mob boss tries to orchestrate a mistrial to silence a witness Crockett is protecting, forcing Crockett to go to jail for refusing to name the informant.
