Up follows elderly widower Carl Fredricksen, who, to fulfill a promise to his late wife Ellie, ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies to Paradise Falls in South America. During his journey, an overeager Wilderness Explorer named Russell becomes an accidental stowaway. On their adventure, they encounter Kevin, a giant flightless bird, and Dug, a dog with a special collar.
