In this animated sequel, Max, a Jack Russell Terrier, faces significant changes when his owner, Katie, marries and has a child named Liam. Initially feeling neglected and overprotective, Max struggles with his new role as a pet parent. To help him cope, the family takes a trip to the countryside, where Max meets Rooster, a tough farm dog who teaches him to overcome his fears and embrace his responsibilities.
