The Ride Back is a 1957 American Western directed by Allen H. Miner and Oscar Rudolph, written by Antony Ellis, and produced by William Conrad. It stars Anthony Quinn, William Conrad, Lita Milan, Victor Millan, and Jorge Treviño. The story follows Sheriff Chris Hamish, a brooding, haunted man who has failed at everything in life and is scorned even by his own wife. Recruited to bring back gunfighter Bob Kallen, a charismatic and decent man from Mexico, Hamish is not primarily motivated by justice — he wants to redeem his own reputation. Kallen, played by Anthony Quinn, is confident, resourceful, and surprisingly kind-hearted.
