The Disorderly Orderly is a 1964 slapstick comedy–romance starring Jerry Lewis, directed by Frank Tashlin, and produced by Paul Jones. It follows Jerome Littlefield, a bumbling but well-meaning orderly at the exclusive Whitestone Sanitarium, who once dreamed of becoming a doctor but was forced out of medical school after his extreme empathy caused him to develop his patients’ symptoms.
