Super Buddies is a 2013 American family superhero comedy and the seventh installment in the Air Buddies series. It follows the adventures of Bartleby Livingston and his talking dog Budderball as they spend the summer at their grandfather Marvin’s farm. On Bartleby’s 12th birthday, Marvin gives him the first issue of the comic Kid Courageous and Captain Canine, which tells the origin of Captain Canine — a hero from the planet Inspiron sent to Earth to protect the Rings of Inspiron. The Rings were stolen by the alien warlord Drex, who survived an attack by Captain Megasis, the Rings’ guardian. Megasis landed on Earth in dog form, teamed up with a boy named Jack, and began fighting crime alongside him.
