Steel Dawn is a 1987 American post-apocalyptic science fiction action film directed by Lance Hool, starring Patrick Swayze, Lisa Niemi, and Christopher Neame. In a world devastated by World War III, Nomad (Patrick Swayze) — a skilled swordsman and former elite guard soldier — wanders the desert, haunted by the murder of his mentor at the hands of the assassin Sho (Christopher Neame). His quest for vengeance is interrupted when he encounters the struggling community of Meridian, where water is a scarce and valuable resource.
