The sixth season of Stargate SG-1 is filled with dramatic events and character development. The season begins with the Stargate being left open, leading to an energy build-up that threatens Earth. Colonel Jack O'Neill and Teal'c face the challenge of saving their planet by piloting the X-302 to send the Stargate away. Meanwhile, the team investigates an abandoned Goa'uld ship, a frozen Ancient woman in Antarctica, and a Goa'uld lord's captivity. The season also sees Jonas Quinn joining SG-1, and the team deals with various crises, including a time loop, a virus outbreak, and a Goa'uld weapon. The season concludes with the team facing a potential disaster and the search for a solution to protect Earth.
