Spies of Warsaw is a 2013 miniseries starring David Tennant as Colonel Jean-François Mercier, a French military attaché in Poland who uncovers German plans for war in the lead-up to World War II. While juggling his diplomatic duties and a dangerous espionage mission, he becomes entangled in a passionate romance with Anna Skarbek, a League of Nations lawyer. The plot follows Mercier as he tries to convince French authorities of the impending threat while evading assassins and dealing with betrayal.
