The story picks up with Miles Morales, who is now grappling with the responsibilities of being Spider-Man while trying to maintain his personal life. Sixteen months after the events of the first film, he encounters the Spot, a villain whose body is infused with portals due to an accident involving the Alchemax Collider. The Spot blames Miles for his transformation and seeks revenge, leading to a series of confrontations. Meanwhile, Gwen Stacy, who has been dealing with her own challenges, reconnects with Miles. She is now part of the Spider-Society, a group of Spider-People led by Miguel O'Hara. As they navigate the multiverse, they face conflicts over how to handle the Spot and the implications of their actions on the multiverse's stability.
