In the 1985 Dublin coming-of-age story Sing Street, Lucy Boynton plays Raphina, a mysterious, fashion-forward girl who catches the eye of teenage Conor Lalor. To impress her, Conor falsely claims to be in a band and asks Raphina to star in his music video. Forced to follow through, Conor, with the help of his music-loving older brother Brendan, assembles a band and begins making music videos, channeling the spirit of 80s bands like Duran Duran to explore his life and capture Raphina's attention, leading to a coming-of-age journey of self-discovery through music and love.
