Shinobi II: The Silent Fury (known in Japan as The G.G. Shinobi II: The Silent Fury) is a 1992 Sega Game Gear action-platformer developed and published by Sega, serving as the sequel to The G.G. Shinobi. It blends 2D side-scrolling platforming with hack-and-slash combat, featuring strategic ninja-switching mechanics. The game continues the adventures of Joe Musashi, the Red Ninja, leader of the Oboro Five Ninjas. After the fall of Neo City, Musashi investigates strange events and discovers that the Black Ninja, once a member of the Oboro Five, has turned evil. He has allied with the Techno-Warriors to steal the Five-Colored Jewels (elemental crystals) and capture their guardian ninjas. Musashi must rescue his four allies — the Blue, Yellow, Pink, and Green Ninjas — retrieve their crystals and confront the Black Ninja in a final showdown.
