Six years after the Raccoon City disaster, Leon S. Kennedy, a U.S. government agent, is sent to Spain to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter, Ashley Graham, from a sinister cult in the remote village of Valdelobos. The story begins in 2004, six years after the catastrophic Raccoon City outbreak. Leon, now a seasoned agent trained under Major Jack Krauser, is dispatched to Valdelobos — a secluded, mountainous village in Spain — after intelligence confirms Ashley’s abduction. The village is under the control of the Los Iluminados cult, whose members are infected by a parasitic infection that alters their minds and bodies.
