Nip/Tuck Season 1 focuses on the partnership of plastic surgeons Sean McNamara and Christian Troy, whose friendship is tested by a drug cartel case, Christian's reckless behavior, and Sean's midlife crisis and marital problems with Julia. The season also introduces recurring characters like Christian's love interest Kimber and the criminal Escobar Gallardo, while exploring each main character's personal and professional struggles, including Christian's sex addiction and a mysterious serial attacker known as the Carver.
