"McHale's Navy" revolves around the comedic misadventures of Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale and his PT-73 crew during World War II. A scheme to make money from horse racing results backfires, leaving them in debt to the Marines. They then try to recoup their losses by stealing a racehorse and entering it in a race, with McHale and Ensign Parker devising the plan. The film is a comedic extension of the popular TV series, featuring the same core cast and characters in a vibrant color format.
