Live Aid was a monumental dual-venue benefit concert held on July 13, 1985, organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. Simultaneously held at Wembley Stadium in London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, the 16-hour "global jukebox" featured legendary acts—including Queen, U2, and David Bowie—reaching an estimated 1.5 billion television viewers and raising over $245 million.
