"Gunsmoke: The Last Apache" is a 1990 American Western television film that continues the story established in the 1973 Gunsmoke episode, "Matt's Love Story." In this film, Matt Dillon, played by James Arness, is taken in by a widow rancher, Mike Yardner, who nursed him back to health after he was shot and suffered amnesia. When Dillon regains his memory, he discovers that Mike's daughter, Beth, has been kidnapped by Geronimo's rogue War Chief Wolf. The film follows Matt as he attempts to rescue Beth and reunite with her, while also dealing with the challenges posed by the Apache warriors and the U.S. Cavalry. The film is dedicated to Amanda Blake, who passed away in August 1989, and features a cast that includes Michael Learned, Richard Kiley, and Geoffrey Lewis.
