"Gunsmoke: Return to Dodge" is a 1987 American Western television film that serves as a reunion of the Gunsmoke series. The film follows retired U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon, now a fur trapper, who is attacked and found in Dodge City. Dillon's old friend, Miss Kitty, returns to Dodge from New Orleans to nurse him back to health. Meanwhile, Will Mannon, a notorious gunslinger, is released from prison and seeks revenge on Dillon and the judge who sent him to prison. The film features a mix of action, drama, and flashbacks, bringing back the classic elements of the Gunsmoke series while introducing new characters and storylines.
