Gilligan's Island season 2 continues to explore the misadventures of the seven castaways stranded on a deserted island. The season features the usual blend of comedic situations, guest stars, and attempts at rescue, with a few unique twists. One episode involves a native chief's daughter wanting to marry Gilligan, while another sees the arrival of Soviet cosmonauts. Other storylines include Gilligan catching a WWII mine, the island being haunted, and a socialite arriving with plans to build a resort.
