Escape from Fort Bravo is a 1953 American Western film set during the American Civil War. Directed by John Sturges and starring William Holden, Eleanor Parker, and John Forsythe, the film follows a Union prison camp in the Arizona Territory where a group of Confederate prisoners, led by Captain John Marsh, attempts to escape. The film is known for its thrilling action sequences, scenic vistas, and the complex emotional triangle between Captain Roper and Carla Forester. The film was shot in Anscocolor and utilized the stark desert landscapes to heighten tension and realism.
