Dawn of the Dead - Land of the Dead

Format: Pre-Owned DVD

Dawn of the Dead

Directed and written by George A. Romero, Dawn of the Dead is a post-apocalyptic horror film set in a shopping mall overrun by zombies. It introduced Romero’s signature blend of social commentary and gore, and is the first in his “Dead” series. The story follows a group of survivors trapped in the mall, fighting to survive as the undead take over.

Land of the Dead

Also directed by Romero, Land of the Dead is the fourth film in his “Dead” series, a direct sequel to Day of the Dead (1985) and not to Dawn of the Dead. Set in a feudal-like walled city in Pittsburgh, it depicts a zombie assault on the city, with survivors living in segregated zones. The film stars Simon Baker, Dennis Hopper, Asia Argento, and John Leguizamo.
