A River Runs Through It: The Maclean brothers, Paul (Brad Pitt) and Norman (Craig Sheffer), live a relatively idyllic life in rural Montana, spending much of their time fly fishing. The sons of a minister (Tom Skerritt), the boys eventually part company when Norman moves east to attend college, leaving his rebellious brother to find trouble back home. When Norman finally returns, the siblings resume their fishing outings, and assess both where they've been and where they're going.
Legends of the Fall: Legends of the Fall is an epic historical drama about the Ludlow family in early 20th-century Montana, focusing on the lives of brothers Tristan (Brad Pitt), Alfred, and Samuel. Their father, Colonel William Ludlow, raises them in the wilderness, but their close-knit family is torn apart by love, loss, and the trauma of World War I, particularly after Samuel is killed and both his brothers become romantically involved with his fiancée, Susannah.
Seven Years in Tibet: Austrian mountaineer Heinrich Harrer, who, after leaving his pregnant wife, gets interned in a British POW camp during WWII. He escapes and, along with his climbing partner Peter Aufschnaiter, finds their way to Lhasa, Tibet. There, Harrer becomes a tutor and friend to the young 14th Dalai Lama, undergoes a spiritual transformation, and matures as a person while witnessing the increasing political tension with China.
