The Bionic Woman Vol 1, also known as "The Bionic Woman #1," is the origin story of Jaime Sommers, who becomes the Bionic Woman after a parachute accident. Her then-boyfriend, Steve Austin, convinces her superiors to save her life using similar bionic parts to those that made him the Bionic Man. The doctors replace Jaime's legs, right arm, and ear, making her faster and stronger. However, much of her past life is missing, and she must navigate her new life in Paris while dealing with the aftermath of the accident and the threats posed by the black-market profiteers.
