Backdraft: Backdraft (film) follows estranged Chicago firefighter brothers Stephen and Brian McCaffrey. As rookie Brian joins his older brother's crew, a wave of calculated, deadly arson attacks utilizing explosive oxygen-deprived "backdrafts" plagues the city, forcing the brothers to reconcile while working with a veteran investigator.

Backdraft 2: Set 27 years after the original movie, Backdraft 2 follows Sean McCaffrey—the grown son of Stephen McCaffrey—working as a top arson investigator for the Chicago Fire Department. Tasked with solving a deadly new string of fires, he uncovers an international terrorist plot using engineered blazes as a distraction.
