Atlantic City (1980) is a crime drama about an aging small-time gangster, Lou Pascal (Burt Lancaster), and a young waitress, Sally Matthews (Susan Sarandon), whose dreams intertwine amidst the changing landscape of Atlantic City as it transitions into a gambling hub; they get involved with a stash of stolen cocaine, leading to love, danger, and a poignant exploration of lost dreams and faded glory as they try to cash in on a risky opportunity.
