In An Extremely Goofy Movie, Max begins his college freshman year to gain independence, only for his father, Goofy, to lose his job and enroll at the same college to get a degree, much to Max's extreme embarrassment. Max tries to distance himself from his dad while pursuing X Games fame, but he and Goofy must eventually reunite and reconcile their strained relationship when Goofy is caught up in the schemes of the Gamma fraternity.
