The Far Country: follows Jeff Webster (James Stewart), a self-reliant cattle driver, and his friend Ben Tatum (Walter Brennan) as they attempt to profit from the gold rush by driving a herd of cattle from Wyoming to Dawson City, Yukon Territory.
Whispering Smith: The story begins when the notorious Barton brothers—Blake, Leroy, and Gabby—rob a train and shoot a guard. The railroad dispatches Luke “Whispering” Smith to investigate. His old friend and wrecking crew chief, Murray Sinclair (Robert Preston), is glad to see him, but Smith soon suspects Sinclair may be working with disreputable rancher Barney Rebstock (Donald Crisp), who has been hiding the remaining Barton brother, Blake.
