Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward follows the Warrior of Light and the scattered Scions of the Seventh Dawn as they flee to the reclusive nation of Ishgard to escape being framed for murder. While seeking asylum, they become embroiled in the thousand-year-old Dragonsong War between Ishgard and the Dravanian dragon horde. They uncover the war's ancient origins and an ongoing conspiracy, ultimately confronting the Archbishop of Ishgard who seeks to become a new primal, and the Ascians in their manipulative efforts to plunge the world into darkness.
