In Eragon for the DS, players experience the story of a farm boy named Eragon who finds a mysterious blue stone that hatches into a dragon, Saphira. The king dispatches his forces to find the dragon, forcing Eragon to flee with the old storyteller Brom. The game involves fighting enemies in sword combat and with magic, battling through levels, and includes exciting flying missions on Saphira's back. The plot centers on Eragon becoming a Dragon Rider and working to free the land of Alagaësia from the evil King Galbatorix.
