Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions is a 2016 Japanese animated science fantasy film set six months after the events of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. It follows a high-stakes story where the stakes are never higher, rivalries fiercer, and the risks greater — one wrong move or missing card could mean the end of it all. The film begins with Seto Kaiba commissioning an excavation to retrieve the disassembled Millennium Puzzle from the ruins of the Millennium Chamber in Kul Elna. The Puzzle once housed the spirit of the Pharaoh Atem, Kaiba’s long-time rival, and Kaiba hopes to revive him to settle their ancient score. However, his mission is interrupted by a mysterious cloaked man named Diva, who steals two pieces of the Puzzle — one for himself and one for his younger sister Sera, who passes it to Yugi Muto, the modern-day Pharaoh.
