In season 7 of "Weeds", Nancy Botwin is released from prison after serving three years and is placed in a halfway house in New York City. She faces challenges with her sister Jill over custody of Stevie and attempts to re-enter the drug business. Meanwhile, Andy, Shane, and Doug have also moved on with their lives, with Andy pursuing his own business and Shane considering law enforcement. The season explores themes of family, redemption, and Nancy's struggle to stay away from the drug trade.
