Season 2 of The Shield follows the Strike Team and the detectives at the Barn as they navigate a series of complex and dangerous situations. The season begins with the Strike Team devising a plan to steal from the Armenian Mafia and the Barn attempting to capture a child molester. Meanwhile, Vic Mackey continues his search for his family, forming an unlikely alliance with Aceveda, and the Barn is supervised by a civilian auditor. The season also features Julien Lowe's plans to get married, which are complicated by his secret past, and Officer Danny Sofer's career is endangered after she shoots a civilian.
