In the 1948 film noir The Scar (originally titled Hollow Triumph), an ex-convict named John Muller robs a powerful mobster and goes on the run. Hiding out, he discovers he looks identical to a prominent psychiatrist named Dr. Bartok, except for a facial scar. Muller murders Bartok to steal his identity, but a fatal mistake unravels his entire scheme.
