The Iceman is a 2012 American biographical crime drama directed by Ariel Vromen, starring Michael Shannon as Richard Kuklinski, the notorious contract killer known as “The Iceman.” The story begins in the 1960s, when young Richard Kuklinski works as a pornographic film lab technician. His violent temper leads to a fatal altercation, which catches the attention of mob boss Roy DeMeo (Ray Liotta). DeMeo tests him by ordering him to kill a homeless man, after which he hires Kuklinski as an enforcer and contract killer.
