Tenderness follows the lives of three characters: Eric Komenko, an 18-year-old who was released from prison after killing his parents, Lori Cranston, a 15-year-old girl who becomes infatuated with Eric, and Detective Cristofuoro, who is convinced Eric will kill again. The story unfolds as Eric's release leads Lori to seek him out, and their relationship becomes a focal point of the investigation. The film explores themes of obsession, innocence, and the haunting scars of one's past.
