Scream VI follows the four survivors from the previous film (Sam, Tara, Mindy, Chad) as they move to New York City for a fresh start, but a new Ghostface killer emerges, targeting them and escalating the terror in an urban setting, leading to a meta-commentary on sequel tropes and a deeper dive into Sam Carpenter's connection to the original Ghostface, Billy Loomis, with old and new characters joining the fight against the masked murderer.
