Dr. Sonny Blake, a radio talk show psychiatrist, moves back to her hometown after the death of her estranged, alcoholic father. Traumatized by her past abuse, Sonny hopes to find closure, but her return to Rosewood Lane quickly turns nightmarish when she encounters the local paperboy, Derek Barber, a cunning and predatory sociopath who previously targeted her father and now sets his sights on her. The paperboy terrorizes the neighborhood, using his intimate knowledge of the area to manipulate and intimidate residents while evading law enforcement, creating a tense cat-and-mouse dynamic that blurs the line between reality and paranoia.
