Paranormal Activity 4 picks up five years after the events of Paranormal Activity 2, with the demon-possessed Katie having abducted her nephew Hunter and then disappearing with him. The story then follows a new family, the Nelsons, in a different suburban location, whose lives are disrupted when their neighbor's son, Robbie, moves in. Strange occurrences begin, which Alex, a teenage girl in the Nelson family, documents with laptop webcams.
