Mortal Kombat: Lord Rayden (Christopher Lambert) handpicks three martial artists -- federal agent Sonya Blade (Bridgette Wilson), Shaolin monk Lui Kang (Robin Shou) and action movie sensation Johnny Cage (Linden Ashby) -- and mentors them. After intense training, Rayden transports the trio to Outworld, the site of an inter-dimensional fighting tournament. There, the three humans must defeat the demonic warriors of the evil Shang Sung (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) -- or allow Sung to take over the Earth.

Annihilation: Liu Kang (Robin Shou) and the other Earthrealm warriors, including Sonya Blade and Princess Kitana, must race against time to stop Shao Kahn, who has illegally opened a portal from Outworld to Earthrealm. Kahn plans to absorb Earthrealm into Outworld within six days by reuniting with his queen, Sindel, who is also Kitana's mother. 

Legacy: is a web series that serves as a prequel to the original Mortal Kombat video game. It delves into the origin stories and motivations of several iconic characters from the Mortal Kombat universe. The series is structured as a collection of interconnected shorts, each focusing on a specific character or group of characters and building towards the eventual Mortal Kombat tournament. The overall plot is less about winning a single competition and more about exploring the events that led individuals to become the warriors we know and love. The series aims for a more realistic and grounded portrayal of the Mortal Kombat world, shifting away from the purely fantastical elements of the games and earlier films.
