MAS*H season 2 primarily focuses on the arrival of Brigadier General Clayton, who is concerned about the 4077th's high casualty rate and seeks to evaluate their operations by sending a psychiatrist, Captain Hildebrand. Meanwhile, the camp deals with various challenges, including a lone sniper attack, a fabricated character named Captain Tuttle who captures the hearts of the camp, and a severe flu outbreak. Hawkeye and Margaret also participate in a demonstration at the 8063rd, where they encounter a stolen Jeep and seek shelter. The season also explores individual storylines, such as Radar's involvement with a Korean woman and her baby, and Hawkeye's romantic pursuit of a new nurse.
