The plot of Howling III centers around a young werewolf named Jerboa who escapes her abusive stepfather and seeks refuge in Sydney. She befriends Donny Martin, an assistant director who offers her a role in a horror film. During the film's wrap party, Jerboa is exposed to strobe lights, triggering her transformation into a werewolf. This revelation leads to a series of events that intertwine science, folklore, and the hidden world of werewolves.
