Highway to Heaven Season 2 continues the plot of Jonathan Smith, a probationary angel sent to Earth with his human companion, Mark Gordon, to help people through their struggles and earn his wings. Each episode involves Jonathan and Mark taking on various itinerant jobs to encounter people in need, tackling complex issues like morality, illness, racism, and death, all while spreading messages of love, kindness, and humility from "the Boss" (God).
