Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid is the third anime adaptation of Shoji Gatoh’s Full Metal Panic! light novel series, serving as the second season and a continuation of the first. It aired in Japan from July 13 to October 19, 2005 and was directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto with animation by Kyoto Animation. The series picks up after the events of Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, with Sousuke Sagara of Mithril and his “Whispered” school friend Kaname Chidori returning to a semblance of normal life. Sousuke tries to blend in as a civilian while continuing his covert missions, but Kaname struggles to cope with his unpredictable behavior.
