Elvis Presley plays Pacer Burton, the son of a white rancher and a Kiowa woman. Set in post-Civil War Texas, the plot centers on the Burton family as they become caught between warring white settlers and the Kiowa, forcing Pacer to navigate his dual heritage and make difficult choices as the conflict escalates.
