Enchantment (1921) is a silent romantic comedy starring Marion Davies as Ethel Hoyt, a vain, young flapper surrounded by admirers. To cure her vanity, her father hires an actor, Ernest Eddison (Forrest Stanley), to woo and then abandon her, echoing a "Taming of the Shrew" theme. The plot complicates when they fall in love, leading to inevitable drama.
