In Digimon Fusion's Season 1, Volume 1, Mikey Kudo receives a Fusion Loader from a dying Digimon, Shoutmon, and is transported with his friends to the Digital World, where he must lead the Fusion Fighters to collect Code Crowns and defeat the evil Bagra Army to save the world and help Shoutmon become the Digimon King. The first volume covers the initial journey through different zones, their first encounters with the Bagra Army led by MadLeomon, and the formation of the "Fusion Fighters".
