"Dead Simple" follows the life of motel owner Frank Jacobs, played by Daniel Stern, who is deeply in love with his wife Helen and dreams of becoming a country singer. The story unfolds when Frank meets a lounge performer named Julie, who has an abusive manager, and her violent manager Roy Baker. As Frank's life spirals out of control, he becomes embroiled in a series of bizarre and shocking events, including murder and body burials. The film is a blend of black comedy and neo-noir, with Stern's performance as Frank Jacobs being a standout.
