Castle's fourth season focuses on the evolving relationship between Castle and Beckett, with increased romantic tension and a major turning point in the finale. The season also introduces new characters, like Captain Victoria Gates, who replaces Montgomery. The season finale culminates in Castle and Beckett finally acting on their feelings and ending up in bed together.
