A two-part miniseries starring Poppy Montgomery, is a fictionalized biography of Marilyn Monroe, following her tortured childhood with a mentally ill mother, her difficult journey through foster homes, and her eventual rise to fame in Hollywood, a world filled with love, heartbreak, and tragedy. The miniseries explores her life using elements from Joyce Carol Oates' novel, interweaving real events with imagined scenes and interpretations of her inner emotional life.
